What does this course train people to do?
Competence compliance in order to carry out electrical safety duties in order to meet the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Who is this course designed for?
Experienced Electricians or Instrumentation engineers.
What does this not train people to do?
Electrical maintenance duties.

Electrically trained persons only.

- Safe working practices (HSG85)
- Permit to Work systems (HSG250)
- Emergency action electrical
What practical activities are included in this course?
General Safe Isolation procedure.
What assessments are carried out during this course?
A test after each section and a final end of course test.
Assessment of company specific isolation procedures carried on-site, accompanied by a site electrical engineer supervisor or manager to witness and countersign the assessment.
Duration: 3 days at TTE, plus 1 hour assessment per candidate on-site.

Cost: £3250 + vat per course
It is assumed that the employer provide suitable PPE, tools and test equipment including voltage indicator, proving unit in accordance with HSG85 and GS35, is readily and easily available on site.
