2EW won the 2019 TTE safety league competition. The competition was designed to recognise and reward the very best in health and safety and help drive up safety standards.
It challenged learners on their health and safety knowledge by asking them difficult questions as well as scoring their commitment to safety by giving points to groups that kept their work areas safe, carried out weekly job freezes, and extra bonus points were given to groups that submitted near misses.
By winning the competition learners have shown tremendous enthusiasm and dedication to health and safety. 2EW have received the Safety League trophy and were awarded £300 to give to a charity of their choice.
The charity they have chosen is the Hospice of the Good Shepherd (Chester). Caring for more than 1,500 people from Chester, Deeside and Cheshire every year, the hospice helps to improve the quality of life for those living with any incurable illness and gives support to families, friends and carers.
